The Story Behind Serrurier Vert
Serrurier Vert is a brand operated by SAS CASTEELS SEGUIN Père & Fils, a family-owned company built around a simple conviction: providing a local locksmith service that is transparent, reliable and committed to quality workmanship.
Its majority shareholder, Thibaut CASTEELS SEGUIN, has lived with his family in the southern part of Paris’s 10th district for more than fifteen years.
After an initial career in wealth management and insurance, Thibaut spent more than six years managing an industrial group specialising in construction materials and turnkey house building.
After returning to Paris, he chose to retrain as a locksmith and completed a certified professional training programme, allowing him to practise in accordance with the industry’s professional standards.
Why Serrurier Vert?
Serrurier Vert was born from a personal choice.
A choice to return to a local profession where quality workmanship, customer service and trust once again take centre stage.
Based in the heart of Paris, Serrurier Vert mainly serves the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th districts.
Most journeys are made on foot or by metro. This organisation reduces response times, avoids traffic congestion, lowers environmental impact and allows us to offer free travel within our local service area.
We believe that, in the heart of Paris, the most environmentally friendly solutions are often the most economical as well.
We also favour suppliers based in the Paris region, particularly within the city itself, and whenever possible we choose cargo-bike delivery solutions for the last mile.
Our Way of Working
Serrurier Vert is not a lead-generation platform.
When you book an appointment, Thibaut personally carries out the work. Only in exceptional circumstances, such as holidays or a prior commitment, will you be referred to a trusted locksmith who shares the same standards of quality and professionalism.
Every job begins with a careful assessment of the situation.
We always favour the least destructive solution. Whenever technically possible, a slammed door will first be opened using a non-destructive slip-card technique. Likewise, we replace only the components that genuinely need replacing. If changing the cylinder is sufficient, we will never replace the entire lock unnecessarily.
We call this thoughtful workmanship.
Transparency and Advice
Before any work begins—or before any change to the originally planned intervention—we always provide a quotation.
Emergency services are offered at clearly advertised fixed prices. Replacement or security upgrade work is always subject to a personalised quotation. A 30% deposit is requested before work begins.
Our approach is based on three principles:
